The International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella - UK & International Quarterfinal at Church Hill Theatre
Celebrating its 10th year in the UK, the Varsity Vocals International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella is back to rock your world. The best of British university a cappella takes to the Church Hill stage in a bid to reach the regional Semifinal, where they could be in with a chance of winning their place at the international Final in New York.
If you loved Pitch Perfect, then you’ll adore the real thing, because we’re the original competition the films were based on! Over 100 performers will sing their hearts out in the biggest a cappella competition in the world. You’ll cheer, laugh and cry as they wow you with tight harmonies, chilling melodies, and spellbinding choreography.
The Varsity Vocals ICCA is a premiere tournament dedicated to showcasing the art of student a cappella singing and providing top-notch a cappella groups with valuable feedback from our highly qualified judges. Our young vocalists have the opportunity to share their talent with an international audience, develop relationships with each other, and cultivate the art of a cappella singing as well as a lifelong love of music.

Over the past few years the UK A Cappella community has become more visible via various TV shows (Gareth Malone shows The Choir: Best in Britain and The Naked Choir on the BBC; Sing: Ultimate A Cappella on Sky; and Pitch Battle on the BBC) and various competitors from this and previous years have appeared on these shows.
The ICCA competition hosted by Varsity Vocals was the subject of the hit film series, Pitch Perfect, and was featured in the US TV series, Sing It On.
There are 4 ICCA UK Quarterfinals taking place from January - March 2024 and further information on those can be found at varsityvocals.com. The top competing groups from each Quarterfinal will advance to the UK Semifinal in London, with the winning group from the Semifinal making their way to the ICCA Final in New York, where they will compete for a chance to be crowned World Champions.

The International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella is the only global tournament that showcases the art of student a cappella. Running since 1996, the ICCA winners receive the Gooding Cup if they win the final in New York.
