Welcome to the Rock!

7,000 Stranded Passengers. One Small Town. A Remarkable True Story.

Come from Away is based on the true story of the time when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small town turned into an international sleepover, when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from around the globe, were diverted to Gander’s airstrip on September 11, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travellers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family.

Age Restrictions

All children aged 15 and under must be supervised by an adult (18+), with at least one adult per 10 children. The supervising adult must sit next to the child or children they are responsible for. If a child is causing a disturbance, venue management reserves the right to ask the parent or supervisor to remove them.

Children aged 18 months to 15 years require their own ticket, which will be charged at full price unless a child concession is available at the time of booking.

Children under 3 will not be admitted to the venue unless the event is specifically advertised as suitable for under 3s at the time of booking.

Babes in arms (children under 18 months, unless stated otherwise on the event listing and ticket) will only be admitted to performances designed for them, such as pantomimes and shows that allow under 3s. Where permitted, they may attend free of charge but must sit on an adult’s lap as no separate seat will be allocated. If a performance has additional age restrictions, these will be clearly stated on the event page of our website.
