Have you still got a question? Maybe our FAQ's have the answer:

What does the ‘Doors’ time mean?

For some music events the promoter only provides a ‘doors open’ time – so for example ‘Doors 7pm’ means the doors open at that time, rather than the start time of the performance. Quite often we don’t know that time until the day of the event. If you’d like an estimated start time for the support acts and main performer, please call the Church Hill Theatre team on 0131 220 4348 on the day, or check the website or social media (links) for more information.

Are concession tickets available?

Events at the Church Hill Theatre are run by independent performing companies, who make their own decisions on whether or to offer concessions. You can find out more from the What’s On section of the site.

Do you charge booking fees?

Per ticket booking fees help promotes or companies staging their productions to cover the box office service charge on all ticket purchases. For some events that charge is incorporated into the ticket price. For others, it is treated as a separate booking fee. All online and telephone bookings carry a non-refundable £1.50 transaction fee.

Admission Policy for Young Children

All children aged 15 and under must be supervised by an adult (18+), with at least one adult per 10 children. The supervising adult must sit next to the child or children they are responsible for. If a child is causing a disturbance, venue management reserves the right to ask the parent or supervisor to remove them.

Children aged 18 months to 15 years require their own ticket, which will be charged at full price unless a child concession is available at the time of booking.

Children under 3 will not be admitted to the venue unless the event is specifically advertised as suitable for under 3s at the time of booking.

Babes in arms (children under 18 months, unless stated otherwise on the event listing and ticket) will only be admitted to performances designed for them, such as pantomimes and shows that allow under 3s. Where permitted, they may attend free of charge but must sit on an adult’s lap as no separate seat will be allocated. If a performance has additional age restrictions, these will be clearly stated on the event page of our website.
